Small changes can make healthy habits

RESERVE — A four-part educational series on improving health and nutrition through small changes will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 & 28 and Nov. 4 & 18 at the Reserve Library, located at 170 W. 10th Street.

This program helps adults make modest, healthy changes in both diet and physical activity.

Cynthia Clifton, area nutrition agent with the LSU AgCenter, will conduct the program. Participants will receive all information presented at each class.

Session 1 involves Small Changes & Physical Activity. Session 2 covers a Pantry Makeover, and Session 3 presents a Grocery Store Tour. Finally, Session 4 teaches Cooking & Knife Skills.

For more information or to pre-register, please contact the LSU Agricultural Center/Cooperative Extension Service Office – St. John Parish Extension Service, located at 151 E. Third Street in Edgard. Seating is limited to 12 people, and the deadline to pre-register is Oct. 16.
