LAPLACE – Xaviery Bryant of LaPlace was shot and killed late Friday night, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Gabrielle Little and Marvin Sanders, both 19 years old, were arrested Saturday and charged with second degree murder.

“There is much to be done,” Tregre said. “We have two people in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.”

Tregre said additional information would be released Monday in a press release. The Sheriff’s Office is not sharing any other details at this time to avoid jeopardizing the investigation.

Police met with the mother of the victim Saturday night to inform her of the status of the investigation. Investigators are working in other jurisdictions to solve the crime.

“Please be patient and allow us time to build a stronger case to get justice for Xaviery Bryant,” Tregre said in a Facebook post.
