St. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce its Employees of the Second Quarter: Chad Madere, FNP-C, and Hallie Waguespack, RN. Both employees were nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for their dedication to the hospital.

Chad has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for six years. He currently serves as a Nurse Practitioner for the hospital’s inpatient unit. Chad graduated from Delgado Community College as a radiology technologist and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Southwestern Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL). In 2013, he graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Masters of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Chad was nominated by Sabrina Anderson, RN, who stated, “From the moment Chad steps foot into St. James Parish Hospital, he is asked so many questions and given a handful of problems. He never gets upset or anxious and takes them all willingly. He visits patients daily and is loved by all of his patients who often refer to him as Dr. Chad.”

“Everyone loves to work with Chad because of his kind spirit and great attitude. He treats patients and staff with respect. You can always depend on Chad to get it done,” said Sabrina.

When asked for comment, Chad said, “I feel privileged to practice here at St. James Parish Hospital. I am blessed to call all of my coworkers family.”

Hallie has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for seven years. She currently manages the Emergency Department. Hallie graduated high school from Riverside Academy and attended Louisiana State University Health and Sciences School of Nursing were she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

Hallie was nominated by several members of her ER Team including Shannon Jackson, CNA; Lorain Landry, RN; Tara Holley, RN; and Ryan Michel, RN.

“Hallie looks a challenge dead in the eye and gives it a strong wink. She is a strong representation of the great quality of employees that we have at St. James Parish Hospital,” said Shannon.

Her nomination stated that Hallie is a pleasant and strong leader who does an amazing job supporting her work family, communicating to her staff and recognizing them.

Hallie commented, “St. James Parish Hospital is a special place. I value my job here and I am so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful organization. Thank you to my coworkers for making my workplace enjoyable and thanks to the community for allowing us to care for you.”
