Followers of the L’OBSERVATEUR Facebook page will soon see a new feature intended to increase community engagement. In an effort to revamp our opinion page content to focus on topics meaningful to River Parishes residents, we plan to post open-ended questions to our Facebook page.

The questions may be be simple in scope, asking what businesses are needed in the community, or which businesses already here deserve more recognition. With election season drawing near, we might ask for feedback on the greatest needs facing St. John Parish and surrounding areas.

You don’t have to be social media savvy to have your voice heard. We welcome letters to the editor, which can bring attention to any local happenings impacting our community. Remember, L’OBSERVATEUR is YOUR community newspaper, and there are many ways to be involved.
