RESERVE — LaPlace Post #383 Commander Allan Reynaud presented the South Louisiana Veterans Home Volunteer of the Year plaque to Althea Schafner at a recent American Legion meeting.

The next American Legion meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home, located at 4080 W. Airline Highway in Reserve. Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month.
