LAPLACE — Louisiana residents can now obtain immunization records online for free at LA.MyIR.net without having to contact a healthcare provider.

Residents can securely view, download and print official copies of their immunization records, according to the Louisiana Department of Health. These printed records are accepted by schools, employers, state agencies and other organizations.

Officials said the online records are also useful for tracking yearly vaccines, like the flu shot, and providing information to new health care providers.
