Education & entertainment open to adults at Central Library

LAPLACE — Libraries are a resource to not only the children of St. John the Baptist Parish, but the adults as well with free computer literacy classes held every Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Computer classes teach novice computer users the basic technological skills to become proficient in basic computer operations and the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Publisher and Excel.

Adults are also invited to attend a crochet class today at 5 p.m., where they can learn beginner techniques or bring a project they have already started to work on during class.

At 3 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday), adults are invited to make galaxy wine glasses using enamel paint, glitter and stickers.
