Local students graduate after LSU summer semester

BATON ROUGE – LSU alumnus and Chair of the Board of Supervisors James Williams delivered the keynote address, and 609 students received degrees during LSU’s commencement ceremony on Aug. 2.
Two students received a University Medal for graduating with the highest undergraduate grade-point average in the class.
The University Medalists included Laura Lynette Tracy, a native of LaPlace, who graduated from the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, and Chanelle Rose Trahan, a native of Baton Rouge, who graduated from the College of Humanities & Social Sciences.
