East St. John Sugarettes host mini camp

RESERVE –The East St. John Sugarette Dance Team recently held its Mini Dance Camp at East St. John High School. Participants ranged in ages three to 14 and were taught several dance routines such as: jazz and hip-hop to enhance dance skills and technique. The highlight of the camp was Parent Day. Participants teamed up in different age groups and learned routines, which were performed at the Dance Showcase for parents, family and friends. Dance routines taught by the Sugarettes to music by Rihanna. The Mini Camp was well attended and all participants will perform at an upcoming ESJ High School home football game.

The 2019-2020 Sugarette members are: Jania McMickle, Kearis Carter, Ashia Henry, Ayanna Wallace, Kameryal Kelly, Anna Ortiz, Don’Jaiya Mathews, Amari Gayden, Aysa Clark, Aysia Brown, Donae Rudolph, Jace Williams, Kaitlyn Arceneaux, Kaisha Chaney, Adania Daughtry, Trejae Bernard and Arionne Levasseur. ESJ Dance Team Coach/Sponsor is Mrs. Ashley L. Porter.
