Mothers and daughters unite for tea party

EDGARD — West St. John Elementary held its inaugural Mother-Daughter Tea Party at the end of the 2018-2019 school year, giving young girls a chance to spend quality time with their mothers.
The event was organized by the Girls on the Move Club to promote positive attitudes, build self-esteem and enhance social skills, according to counselor Bertha Spivey-Steward.
