Police: Garyville man arrested for 1st degree rape of juvenile
GARYVILLE — A local man was arrested this week, charged with raping a juvenile.
According to the St. John Sheriff’s Office, juvenile detectives received a complaint Wednesday, indicating Dominique Linton had sex with a juvenile.
Police said further investigation led detectives to obtain a judicial warrant, charging Linton with first degree rape and sexual battery.
The 31-year-old was arrested Thursday.
According to the St. John Sheriff’s Office, Linton is being held in custody in lieu of a $125,000 bond.
“No other information will be released since this case involves a juvenile victim,” a Sheriff’s Office release said.
