LAPLACE — The St. John Parish Utilities Department announced Monday afternoon that St. John Parish District #3 Water System, in coordination with the Department of Health, lifted a Boil Water Advisory.

The Advisory had been issued Thursday for all water customers on Main Street from Airline Highway to West 5th Street in LaPlace as a result of water line repairs.

Samples collected from the Department of Health were negative for contaminants, meaning the water is safe to drink, parish officials announced.
