LAPLACE — No-cost breast and skin cancer screenings originally planned for Tuesday at the LaPlace Winn-Dixie have been rescheduled to Dec. 8.

The location will either be Winn-Dixie or Stage in LaPlace, according to Johnnay Benjamin, director of early detection and education at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

She said screenings are held periodically in an 18-parish area and at least twice a year in LaPlace to promote early detection.

Appointments are required.
