Burglary, theft sentences handed out in St. James

CONVENT — Three St. James Parish residents were sentenced last week after pleading guilty to burglary, theft and other charges, according to Public Information Officer Tyler Cavalier for 23rd Judicial District Attorney Ricky L. Babin.
Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon prosecuted the cases, which Judge Jason Verdigets presided over.
• Walter Bolding, 62, of Convent pleaded guilty to theft valued over $1,000 but less than $5,000 and was sentenced to five years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
Bolding’s sentence was suspended and he was placed on five years of supervised probation.
• Jordan Oubre, 23, of Paulina pleaded guilty to two counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
Oubre was sentenced to three years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections and given credit for time served.
The sentences are ordered to run concurrently.
• Bryce Haydel, 44, of Paulina pleaded guilty to attempted unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and was sentenced to two years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
Haydel was given credit for time served, had the sentences suspended and was placed on two years of supervised probation.
