Keller: Man of integrity process never ends
Published 12:01 am Saturday, June 9, 2018
I’ve never had anyone accuse me of being humble or having integrity. When I think of being humble, it’s one’s absence of pride.
I’ve made a little progress in that area, but still need to bind that pride spirit, which is always a threat.
Integrity is described as being of sound, moral principle, uprightness, honest and sincere. The lifestyle I lived for a while disqualified me as a man of integrity.
The good news is that I realize where I am, what I was and that I have a desire to become the man God created me to be.
I remember hearing a teaching years ago about leaving a legacy. We all want to leave our family with something positive by which to remember us.
The teaching ended by stating that the greatest legacy to leave is a legacy of integrity.
As I write this article, I’m taking a personal inventory of myself and being reminded that I’m a work in progress and God’s not finished with me yet.
My prayer is for me to continually seek God first in my life, be humble and make progress in becoming a man of integrity.
I’m concerned that a person without humility is lacking in integrity and that leads to spiritual bankruptcy.
