Photo Feature: Marne’ Shanel Pierre crowned at Riverside

- Marne’ Shanel Pierre was crowned the 2017 Riverside Academy Middle School Homecoming Queen. Marne’ is the daughter of LaTonya and Marcus Pierre of LaPlace. She is a member of the softball team, soccer team, The Marching Pride of Riverside and Junior Beta Club — presently serving as vice president. Marne’ achieved the Principal’s list — maintaining As in all of her classes. She has also qualified to participate in the Eighth Grade Student of the Year contest because of her dynamic leadership abilities, citizenship and outstanding academics. Marne’ continues to strive for excellence in all of her endeavors.
