Booster classes designed for business owners

RESERVE — FastTrac NewVenture is a business training program developed by the Kauffman Foundation, a nationally recognized leader in entrepreneurship.
This 10-session program is designed especially for business owners with less than three years in business, business owners that have been operating part-time or any business owner ready to grow their business to the next level.
Business owners receive practical tools to build a profitable and sustainable business, workbook and lifetime access to an online toolkit, a business coach during and after the program and free unlimited assistance from business consultants.
Upon completion of the program participants will have a completed business plan that can be used to access funding and be eligible to apply for a business loan with the local lenders.
The 10-session program starts Sept. 14 and continues for ten weeks through Nov. 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Parish Business Training Center in the SCLTC — River Parishes Campus, 181 Regala Park Road in Reserve. Thanks to the generous underwriting of this program from St. John the Baptist Parish Economic Development and Louisiana Economic Development (LED) the cost to attend the entire program is $100. Officials said it is a $1,125 value for $100 or $10 per session. Attendees must commit to all ten sessions and be a certified Small & Emerging Business.
