Police: Theft suspect arrested after LaPlace shoplifting

LAPLACE — Based on investigation and tips from the community, officers with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect of thefts that occurred last week at Boost Mobile, AT&T and T- Mobile in LaPlace.
Police announced Dwayne Brown, 52, of Zachary was arrested Aug. 10 for theft by shoplifting.

He was booked with three counts of theft by shoplifting – less than $500 (misdemeanor) and theft by shoplifting – $500-$1,500.
He is being held in custody in lieu of a $4,000 bond.
