‘Ladies of Riverlands’ welcome golfers to join

LAPLACE — The Riverlands Ladies Golf Association was formed shortly after the Riverlands Golf Course was founded in 1962.
Today, the “Ladies of Riverlands” can be seen at the course every Tuesday, weather permitting, at 9 a.m., competing in weekly “Days Play” competition.
Those who work and cannot join the camaraderie on Tuesday are welcome to enjoy “Days Play” fun on Sundays.
The Riverlands Ladies also participate in the New Orleans Women’s Golf Association events. Founded in 1928, the NOWGA holds individual and team play events at 12 New Orleans area courses.
Should any golfing ladies wish to join the Riverlands Ladies Association, call the Pro Shop at 985-652-6316 and one of the ladies will return your call as soon as possible.
