RESERVE — Contestants in Saturday’s 69th St. John Parish Sugar Queen Pageant are hard at work this week going through their steps inside St. John Theatre in Reserve.

This year’s theme is ‘Big Apple, NYC.’

The pageant starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Theatre. Tickets are $12 and available at the door.

The public is welcome to join 68th St. John Parish Sugar Queen Heather Roussel and Teen Queen Ali Vicknair in celebrating this sweet experience.
