Fred Ellis Brady, 91, passed away at his home in LaPlace Friday, July 28, 2017.

He was a native of Garyville and resided in Grand Isle for many years.
He is survived by his children, Rhoda B Villar (Robert), Duane Brady (Susan) and Darilyn B. Dauzat (David); grandchildren Tiffany B. Duhon, Autumn Villar, Cami Langley, Austin and Sommer Brady, Kaitlyn and Kody Dauzat; nine great grand children; two great great grandchildren; and brother Forest Brady Sr.
He is preceded in death by his father, Moise “Beet” Brady; his mother, Lucille Laiche Brady; wife Helen M. Brady; and daughter Sonya Brady.
Fred was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII and the Korean War. He was active in numerous community organizations. He retired from Avondale Shipyards.
A devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend, he generously donated his body to medical science.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial to celebrate his life at the Silver Star (Crack Shack), 566 Garyville Northern St. in Garyville on Sunday, Aug. 20 at noon.
