LAPLACE — A code-enforcement sweep Monday in St. John the Baptist Parish is targeting junk vehicles and property violations.

St. John Parish announced the effort is the first in a series of code enforcement sweeps responding to property violations and aiming to improve quality of life of all residents.

The sweep is the result of the Parish Council’s May 9 adoption of Ord. No. 17-13, which improved and clarified violations pertaining to junk vehicles to better protect residential neighborhoods in the Parish.

The sweep will take place Monday within District IV.
