Clemence Berthelot Bourgeois passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 88.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Reserve and retired from the U. S. Postal Service.

She was the beloved wife of the late Warren P. Bourgeois and loving mother of Robert G. Bourgeois (Marlene), Crystal B. Loyd (the late Gary Loyd), Barry P. Bourgeois (Patricia), Marlene A. Delatte (Timothy R.), Bently J. Bourgeois (April Lanoue) and the late Joseph P. Bourgeois.

She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Bourgeois is the daughter of the late Noland T. Berthelot and Nelia Schexnayder Berthelot; sister of Audrey Becnel (the late Fernand), Alton “Coonie” Berthelot (the late Mae), Sister Marlene Berthelot, Patricia Berthelot Melancon (Maxwell “T-Bud”) and the late Noland J. Berthelot (Ora) and Burton Berthelot (the late Bessie); and sister-in-law of Lynn Bourgeois (Dolores), Larry Bourgeois (the late Yvonne), Jimmy Bourgeois (Betty), Albert (Marietta) and the late Roland Bourgeois (Eunice), Hubert Bourgeois (Maryann), Rita Madere (Junebug) and Doris Cambre (Douglas and the late Warren Madere).

She is also survived by former daughter-in-law, Nancy Borne Bourgeois, George Zorescu and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Monday, June 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 20 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 Highway 44 in Reserve from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass.

Interment is in St. Peter Cemetery.
