Keller: Poor moral condition is no surprise

America is not a Christian nation anymore and that frustrates many Christians.
Instead of complaining about the darkness that we see, we should concentrate on being the light as Jesus suggest.
Recently, I was disturbed and angry at the actions of Kathy Griffin, a celebrity who annually co-hosted CNN Times Square live New Year’s Eve special. CNN fired her over her video displaying a likeness of President Trump’s severed, bloody head.
I agree, but what took the liberal news media ten years to find out she was rude, crude and an enemy of what America stands for.
In 2007, while accepting an Emmy for her Bravo reality series, Kathy Griffin said, “A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus.” Then she held up her trophy and said, “Suck it Jesus. THIS is my God now!’
Catholic League President, Bill Donohue, called it a “vulgar, in-your-face brand of hate speech.” Griffin remained unrepentant.
Should we be surprised of such behavior? I think not. The Bible says that only fools mock sin.
The liberal media and the entertainment world are partly responsible for the state of our moral condition in America.
Regardless of her attitude and actions, is it too late for Kathy Griffin to repent?
No. The thief on the cross is a good example.
Jesus said to him, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
