- May 26, 1977: Instruction in the art of modeling is provided to Kathy Madere, left, a seventh grade student at Reserve Junior High School, and Miriam Mixon, an eighth grader, by Venita Jacob Cambre, youth leader with Reserve Homemakers, who is preparing a group of junior high school students for a fashion show.
May 21, 1987: Allison Fontenot, center, a student at Riverside Academy, received a third place award in the VFW Americanism District II level contest. May 21, 1997: Greg “Za” Maurin of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office accepts a $1,000 check from Bertram Madere, left, and Whitney Hickerson, right, from Dupont and Dupont/Dow. The kickoff donation began the fundraising efforts of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
