Margaret Cotham Broussard

Margaret Cotham Broussard, a native of LaPlace, and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on April 13, 2017, at the age of 91.
She attended Leon Godchaux High School in Reserve, where she was queen of the school’s carnival ball.
She was secretary to the director of the student union at LSU for 35 years.
She is survived by daughter Kathryn B. Beall; husband Billy; sons Martin J. “Buddy” Broussard Jr. and wife Lynne, and Richard A. “Randy” Broussard; grandchildren Trey Beall and wife Shelly, Nicole Broussard Lewis, Jonathan W. Broussard and Joseph Broussard; and great-granddaughters Brianna and Londyn Beall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, HC and Elouise Cotham; brother HC Cotham Jr.; granddaughter Marti Lynn Beall; and also by her former husband, Dr. Martin J. Broussard.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, April 17 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie at 1 p.m.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Louisiana Lions Camp for Youth.
