Joy Brenda Varnado Johnson entered into rest Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in LaPlace.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Quinnan Johnson; daughter Valencia Johnson; son Sean Mikkhail Johnson; grandchildren Ronald Johnson and Ousbiana Johnson; a great grandchild, Omond Khail Johnson; sisters Patricia Leblanc, Arlene Baker, Marie Daunoy, Deborah Hunter, Lisa Bartholomew; and brothers Arnold Hunter Sr., Tilton Hunter Sr., Terry Hunter Jr., Henry Hunter Jr. and Gregory Hunter.

She was preceded in death by one child, Quinnan Johnson; mother Gean Hunter and grandparent Velma Leban.

Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, March 18 at 5325 August Ave. in Marrero.

A Viewing of the Body is from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The Funeral Discourse begins at 2 p.m.
