Ascension of Our Lord students in sixth grade, including Anias’ Zeno, above, recently participated in the Debris Fish Workshop. Artist Trish Ransom of Grand Coteau taught students about recycling, how to use artist’s and carpenter’s tools, and some fun fish facts. Students collected recycled items from their homes such as bottle caps, aluminum cans and broken toys before creating a fish artwork from those items. The workshop was funded by a grant from the River Region Arts and Humanities Council.
