All-St. John girls soccer team announced

The members of the L’OBSERVATEUR’s 2017 All-St. John girls soccer team are:
Colette Rainey, St. Charles Catholic, Fr. — The defensive MVP of District 6-IV, Rainey helped account for nine shutouts on defense with more than 100 tackles/steals.
Eden Simoneaux, St. Charles Catholic, So. — The offensive MVP of District 6-IV, Simoneaux scored 12 goals and had 13 assists.
Anna Guidry, St. Charles Catholic, Fr. — A first team All-District selection, Guidry scored 11 goals and had 10 assists this season.
Alexis Keys, St. Charles Catholic, Jr. — Selected the most outstanding keeper in the district, Keys recorded 102 saves and nine clean sheets.
Lindsey Oubre, Riverside Academy, Sr. — After coming back from a broken leg, which caused her to miss the Rebels’ second playoff game last year, she returned to be the leader of the defense this season.
Toni Perrin, Riverside Academy, Sr. — The Lady Rebels’ most versatile player, she played goal keeper, center back, center midfielder and forward.
MacKenzie Saucier, Riverside Academy, Sr. — A shoulder injury limited Saucier’s playing time, but the Rebels’ starting goalkeeper still managed to earn a soccer scholarship to Louisiana College.
Taylor Aubert, Riverside Academy, Sr. — A forward, Aubert was once again the Rebels’ leading scorer and was chosen as the team’s Offensive MVP.
Emone Cade, East St. John, Sr. — A defender, Cade provides the Wildcats’ speed and it’s up to her to control the center of the field. Coach Mike Dardinger says she has forced many offensive players wide when defending.
Nicolle Dardinger, East St. John, So. — The team captain, Dardinger played center midfielder and forward. She accounted for 10 of the LadyCats goals this season.
