Lynette Braud Oswald

Lynette Braud Oswald, 87, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at her home.
She was raised in Norco and was a former resident of Destrehan before moving to the Stony Point Community near Franklinton nearly 40 years ago.
Lynette was a secretary at the former D.H. Holmes Department Store.
She enjoyed cooking and reading, but her favorite hobby was being outdoors, working in her garden or yard or riding the fields of her property.
Lynette was a devoted wife and mother that cherished the time spent with her sons and family.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law: Robert “Bob” Oswald and fiancé Joy Parker, Harold “Bill” Oswald III and Charlene H. Oswald, all of Kentwood; sisters Thelma Kugler of Destrehan, Barbara Pollack of Conroe, Texas; and brother in law and sister in law George and Marie Oswald of Kentwood.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harold W. Oswald Jr. DDS; parents Alexander Braud and Fannie Daigle Braud; sisters Carrie Landry and Evelyn Rogers and brother Vernon Braud.
Honoring her request, Mrs. Oswald will be cremated with a private memorial service and burial to be held at a later date.
