LAPLACE — With Thanksgiving next month and holiday parties just around the corner, L’OBSERVATEUR is once again gearing up for the annual publication of its much beloved Holiday Cookbook.

Each year the cookbook showcases the best and tastiest local appetizer, soup, salad, entrée and dessert recipes submitted from River Region residents.

“Those in south Louisiana — especially the River Region — enjoy some of the best dining in the nation in the comfort of their own kitchens, and this special edition is our way of sharing those meals with you,” L’OBSERVATEUR publisher Stephen Hemelt said.

“Great meals have a way of bringing people together, and we hope this recipe book allows friends and strangers an opportunity to share good food and good times.”

The special cookbook will be included inside a special edition of L’OBSERVATEUR, which will be delivered to homes and available at newsstands Nov. 19 throughout the River Parishes.

Recipes must be received by Oct. 31.

If available, include a brief story about the history of the recipe or a photo of the delicious finished product.
