LULING — All St. Charles Parish business are invited to attend the first SCP Business Exchange at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.

The free of charge event will provide a networking opportunity between large and small local businesses. Officials also hope to initiate discussion of a local business group within the parish.

“It is widely known that business and industry are driving forces in our parish,” St. Charles Parish President Larry Cochran said. “In addition to building relationships between our businesses and parish governmental agencies, we hope to start a conversation about rebuilding a local business association at this event.”

Attendees are asked to bring business cards and post their support of the event using the hashtag #ShopStCharles.
