Brady Newman, a 2016 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School, signed to play baseball for Delgado Community College Wednesday. Newman, who was an All-District 12-2A, All-St. John Parish, an Honorable Mention All-Metro and LBCA All-State catcher, hit .375 with one home run, seven doubles and 37 RBIs for the Class 2A state runner-up Comets.
