Fire Controlman 2nd Class Thomas Melancon of Convent, a 2009 graduate of Lutcher High, advanced to 2nd class petty officer. Melancon has been in the Navy for seven years and is serving as Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit Dam Neck’s CD01 Computer Work Center Supervisor in Virginia Beach, Va.
