John Michael Villamore, born April 29, 1938, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Mathilde Villamore, and his sister. Alice V Otreba.

Villamore proudly served his country as a Marine.

He was tirelessly dedicated to the pro-life cause by prayer and action. He overcame many obstacles in order to speak up for those who could not speak for themselves such as the unborn and the elderly.

He loved to be tuned in to Catholic Television through EWTN and always strived to serve the Lord in his church parish.

Villamore was a faithful member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5935.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women’s New Life Center, 3032 Ridgelake Drive, #101, Metairie, LA 70002.

Visitation will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St. in LaPlace on Saturday, May 21 from 1 to 2 p.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 2 p.m.

Interment will be at St. John Memorial Gardens.
