Riverside Academy senior standout Herb McGee and 2015 graduate Jordan Andrews have signed to play for the University of South Alabama.
McGee, a 6-foot-2 guard, is a three-time All-State player who helped lead the Rebels to three consecutive Class 2A state titles and one runner-up finish. He averaged 17 points per game, eight rebounds and six assists.
Andrews, a 6-foot-5 guard, spent the 2015-16 season at Youngstown State and will sit out the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules.
He was a Horizon League All-Freshman team player, averaging 7.9 points and 2.8 rebounds. He broke the school’s freshman 3-point record with 50.
Andrews was a four-year starter at Riverside, playing on three state championship teams, averaging 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as a senior. He was recruited by South Alabama last year but was not offered a scholarship.
