Lorraine “Nooney” Weber-Pyne

Lorraine “Nooney” Weber-Pyne, 73, of Chesterton, Ind., formerly of LaPlace, passed away on April 7, 2016, in Chesterton.
She was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Reserve to Odell and Earline Weber, both of whom preceded her in death.
Weber-Pyne is survived by her son, David Pyne of Huntsville, Ala., and her daughter, Erin (Jeff) Gross of Valparaiso, Ind., and by her grandchildren, Tyler Gross, Andrew Gross, Gavin Gross and Harrison Gross.
She is also survived by siblings Gwen (Larry) Becnel of Reserve, Patricia (Dean) Torres of Reserve, Sandra (Francois) Cambre of Reserve and Odell (Jo) Weber of Geismar.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Pyne in 1983, and by her grandson, Jeffrey Gross Jr.
Weber-Pyne was a member of St. Joan of the Arc Catholic Church in Louisiana, where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed cross stitching and loved gardening.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St. in LaPlace.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Reserve.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.
