GONZALES — River Parishes Community College announced it will have summer classes as usual.

“The legislative budget debates sparked a lot of discussion about whether various colleges would remain open or closed, we are most definitely open this summer,” RPCC Chancellor Dale Doty said.

“Our students can continue their studies uninterrupted, and we invite new students to join our existing students.”

Enrollment began April 1 for classes that will start May 31. Enrollment for fall 2016 classes also began April 1. Those classes begin Aug. 15.
