RESERVE — Two brothers have recently been identified as suspects in an armed robbery that occurred in August, authorities said, adding they believe the two are hiding in Gonzales.
Christopher Davis, 20, of Gonzales and Dequinton Davis, 17, of LaPlace were identified as suspects based on findings during the investigation, Sgt. Dane Clement said.
Authorities obtained arrest warrants for the brothers, Clement said, adding he believes the warrants were issued in February.
St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 100 block of River Pointe Drive in Reserve following a report of an armed robbery with a firearm at 9:26 p.m. Aug. 29.
A 19-year-old male victim told deputies he was making a pizza delivery when two men robbed him at gunpoint.
“They took the pizza order and the cash from the victim’s wallet,” Clement said.
“He was not injured. The victim said that he exited the truck with the order when the two perpetrators approached him. One perpetrator pointed a handgun at the victim and told him to drop the pizzas and to empty his wallet.”
Authorities said after the victim complied with the demands, the two gunmen fled on foot with the pizza order and the cash from the victim’s wallet.
