Good ‘Cookin’ delivered

LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office partnered with Urgent Care in LaPlace, the Lions Club, Tatje Insurance, B2B Networking and several New Orleans chefs to sponsor “Cookin’ It Up For LaPlace” March 5 for tornado victims.
Sheriff’s Office employees delivered about 300 meals in tornado-damaged neighborhoods.
Assisting from the Sheriff’s Office with the outreach effort were Sheriff Mike Tregre, Cpt. Kirt Tregre, Lt. Troy Cassioppi, Lt. Gene Weinert, Lt. Greg Baker, Lt. Mavis Kendrick, Sgt. Rick Bailey and Sgt. Quentin Nicholas.
Also helping were Deputies Darlinta Garrison, Stacey Millet, Dana Rousseve, Dawn Wong, Toni Flynn, Angel Thompson, Peggy Millet, Susan Klibert, Ann Marie Duronslet and Juliette Remondet.
A variety of food was prepared by chefs from The Irish House, Parkway Bakery and Tavern, Marriot New Orleans, Sheraton New Orleans, Zea Rotisserie & Grill, Whoo Doo BBQ, Robert Fresh Market, CC’s Coffee House, Lauberge Casino and Hotel, Scratch Kitchen and Café b.
