Riverside defeats Country Day, on to state finals

Riverside Academy defeated district rival Country Day 71-52 Wednesday night to advance to its seventh straight Class 2A state championship game.
The No. 2 seed  Rebels (29-5) will be attempting to win their fourth title in a row at 4 p.m. Saturday at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles.
The Rebels will play the winner of Thursday night’s game between  No. 1 seed Madison Prep and No. 4 North Caddo. That game will be played at 6:15 in Lake Charles.
Malik Crowfield led Riverside with 22 points. Jared Butler scored 19.
