HAHNVILLE — The investigation into a Hahnville High School teacher arrested Thursday for sexual battery of a student expanded Friday evening when he was booked on five more charges, including pornography involving juveniles, for what authorities say is his role in an inappropriate relationship with a second teenager.

St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said investigators believe the suspect was engaging in inappropriate text messaging conversations with a 16-year-old student sometime between 2010 and 2011.

According to a release from Champagne’s office Saturday morning, the text messages, which occurred during and after school, included inappropriate conversations and pictures.

The suspect in the case — 30-year-old Jeremy Eusea of Paradis — was rebooked Friday night for computer aided solicitation of a minor, indecent behavior of a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, pornography involving juveniles and prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student.

Eusea, a teacher at Hahnville High, is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center. As of Saturday morning, no bond had been set.

A criminal investigation into Eusea first garnered attention Friday morning when the Sheriff’s Office announced his arrest for sexual battery and prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student — linked to a relationship with a 17-year-old high school student.

Champagne said the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted Thursday by St. Charles Parish Public Schools to investigate an allegation of inappropriate behavior involving a teacher and student at Hahnville High.

Authorities said the investigation revealed an inappropriate relationship began in January between Eusea and a 17-year-old.

The interactions included inappropriate text messaging conversations during and after school, as well inappropriate conversations and pictures, Champagne said.

Eusea, an athletic trainer, taught sports medicine at Hahnville High. School officials said he has been suspended without pay.

The St. Charles Herald Guide reported Eusea has been a teacher at Hahnville for six years and graduated from Hahnville High School in 2004. Eusea graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and received his Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio University and his Doctorate of Athletic Training at the University of Idaho.
