LAPLACE — Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church is hosting three days of St. Joseph Altar Blessing and Viewing events next month at Piovan Hall.

Visitors can get to the Hall by entering through the gate in the Church parking lot, 1900 Greenwood Drive in LaPlace.

The blessing of the St. Joseph Altar in Piovan Hall follows the 8:30 a.m. School Mass March 18. The viewing follows the blessing until noon and reopens for viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m.

St. Joseph’s Day viewing lasts from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 19, and there is a Mass at 4 p.m. Viewing continues from 8 a.m. to noon March 20 with Masses at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

This year’s altar is dedicated to Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church parishioners that have been called home by Our Lord. All proceeds will be sent to the Saltillo, Mexico Missions.
