In anticipation of severe weather moving through the parish and region this afternoon, the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District will release its schools today (Feb. 23) on the following schedule:

East St. John High School at 11 a.m.

LaPlace Elementary School at 11:30 a.m.

East St. John Elementary School at 11:40 a.m.

Head Start at noon.

West St. John High School at noon.

Fifth Ward Elementary School at 12:05 p.m.

John L. Ory Communication Arts Magnet School at 12:40 p.m.

Garyville-Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet at 12:40 p.m.

St. John Alternative School at 12:40 p.m.

Emily C. Watkins Elementary School at 12:40 p.m.

West St. John Elementary School at 12:40 p.m.

This schedule will allow school buses to complete their routes before the anticipated severe weather reaches the parish.
