Antoine John Menard, 69, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016.

He was a native of Opelousas and a resident of LaPlace.

Menard was the beloved husband of Pat Shook Menard and father of Annette Menard Grenier (Chuck) of LaPlace, Steven John Menard (Cindy) of LaPlace, Sean Christopher Menard (Shayla) of Boise, Idaho, and Christopher John Menard (Natalie) of LaPlace.

He was the son of the late Melda Stout Menard and Antoine Menard; brother of Linda Kee of Covington, Ruth Ann Brister, of Coral Springs, Fla., Debbie Huffman of Mandeville and the late Norman Menard of Opelousas; grandfather of Charles and Jonathon Grenier and Sheridan, Shelby and Sheldon Menard; and godfather of Jennifer Cali, Jessica Borne and Ashlyn Duhe.

Menard proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy as a machinist and followed in the footsteps of his father as a carpenter for most of his life. He is also survived by his dogs, Mollie and Maggie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral.

A Funeral Service will be officiated by Reverend Larry Brister in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.

Visitation is planned on Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Pallbearers are Steven Menard, Christopher Menard, Charles Grenier, Jonathon Grenier, Chuck Grenier and Danny Menard. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Barnes, Bill Larson, Peter Rudesill and Kurt Tatje.

Interment will be in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
