SCC celebrates 30th Carnival Ball

LAPLACE — St. Charles Catholic High School recently held its 30th Carnival Ball with a “Back to the Future” theme for this year’s Royal Court members of the Krewe de Charles Bal Masque XXX.
The Carnival Ball at St. Charles Catholic High School is a tradition for the school and the entire community.
Experiences at St. Charles Catholic High School are dedicated to the formation of the whole student in mind, body and spirit, school officials said.
The King and Queen XXX were Patrick Ryan Ratliff, son of David and Kelly Ratliff and Madeleine Marie Murphy, daughter of Michael and Giselle Murphy.
The King and Queen are very active students at St. Charles Catholic High School.
Ratliff is a member of the football and track teams, and Murphy is president of the Student Council, vice-president of National Honor Society, president of the French Club and a member of the Science Club, Retreat Team, Mu Alpha Theta and Beta Club.
She is also a member of the volleyball, basketball and track teams.
The King and Queen are active leaders in St. Charles Catholic High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and both serve as SCC Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
Page to the King was Greyson McGovern, daughter of George and Kayla McGovern. Page to the Queen was Khloe Gaudet, daughter of Rusty Gaudet and Samantha Peterson.
Other members of the court included Duke Justin Martin Ory, son of Mark and Jennifer Ory, with Maid Rebecca Lynn Laurent, daughter of Marcel and Stephanie Laurent; Duke Jacob Paul Jensen, son of Paul and Michelle Jensen with Maid Morgan Mary Nobile, daughter of Michael and Nicol Nobile; and Duke John Royce Campbell, Jr., son of John and Susan Campbell, with Maid Alyssa Mary Arceneaux, daughter of Gary and Donna Arceneaux.
The Royal Escorts for the ball were Wesley Melancon and Dustin Mire.
