The theme for this year’s ball was ‘Agape Salutes Michael Jackson.’ The ball was held at the Landmark Best Western Plus in Metairie. Debutantes, from left, include Debutante Miss. Kayla Amari Johnson is the daughter of Norward and Keeva Burke Johnson of LaPlace. Debutante Miss Ayanna Dionne Henry is the daughter of Kim and PennyHenry of LaPlace. Debutante Miss Whitney Dominique Joseph is  the daughter of Whitney and Tammy Anderson Joseph of LaPlace. Royal Debutant Miss Alexjandra Sarai Williams  is the daughter of Ron and Anna Lumar Williams of LaPlace. Queen Agape XV is Miss Michelle Piearson of LaPlace. Michelle is a deputy with the St. John Parish Sheriff Office. Captain Agape XV is Mr. Chester McDowell of Garyville. Chester is a registered nurse and director of the Behavorial Health Care Unit of Oschner Hospital, formerly St. Charles Parish Hospital of Luling. King Agape XV is Mr. Vernon Bailey Jr. of LaPlace. Vernon is a detective with the St. John Parish Sheriff Office. Vernon was recently named Officer of the Year for St. John Parish. Royal Debutante Miss LeMon Rans Smith is the daughter of Tequilla and Ronnie Kelly of LaPlace. Debutante Miss Lorynn Joy Valdez  is the daughter of Robert and Leah Valdez of Lutcher. Debutante Miss Kimberly Joelle Leonard  is the daughter of Hilton Leonard and Monica Pierre of LaPlace.
