DESTREHAN — Joriyan Lee is the recipient of the New Orleans Chapter of the Posse Foundation Scholarship to Notre Dame University.

The Posse Foundation identifies public high school students throughout the country that display extraordinary academic and leadership potential and sends them to top colleges and universities in a dynamic multicultural team of 10 — who support each other throughout their college years.

This year the New Orleans chapter received more than 500 nominations for 30 Posse scholarships.

Destrehan High School announced one senior from DHS, Joriyan Lee has become a Posse Scholar and has been awarded a four-year full-tuition merit, leadership scholarship from University of Notre Dame valued at nearly $260,000.
