Keller: Cancer limited in how it can impact u

As I was writing this article, my thoughts were about my sister, Judith, who is facing a serious operation.
Serious operations aren’t new to her.
Nine years ago, she had a liver transplant that was successful. A year ago, she had skin cancer on her nose, which required major surgery and skin grafts. Now, skin cancer is on the other side of her nose.
I know God won’t send us more than we can handle, but sometimes we may think He is overestimating us.
With all that said, she is handling everything with a positive attitude.
She told me the other day that at age 71, God has been good.
I agreed and added that He continues to be a faithful God.
CANCER – What an awful sounding word. With everything that cancer can destroy, the following is a list of things cancer cannot do:
CANCER IS SO LIMITED.
IT CANNOT CRIPPLE LOVE.
IT CANNOT SHATTER HOPE.
IT CANNOT CORRODE FAITH.
IT CANNOT DESTROY PEACE.
IT CANNOT KILL FRIENDSHIPS.
IT CANNOT SUPPRESS MEMORIES.
IT CANNOT SILENCE COURAGE.
IT CANNOT INVADE THE SOUL.
IT CANNOT STEAL ETERNAL LIFE.
IT CANNOT CONQUER THE SPIRIT.
