Michel: Don’t let outsiders devalue your worth

I love a bargain and I know that I’m really getting a deal when I see numerous stickers, one on top of the other, covering up the original price.

Sometimes I tear off the stickers to see what was the value of the item and I’m always pleased when it’s much more than I’ve paid.

I recently listened to a message in which I was reminded of the destructive pattern some people have of allowing this to be done in their lives.

When they accept negative labels spoken over them by others, or even their own thoughts, the downgrading words cover up their true value and their worth to God.

So may I take a moment to remind us all that we were created in the image of God and are wonderfully made.

He thinks about us constantly, has numbered the hairs on our head and loves us so much that He sent Jesus to be the sacrifice for our sins.

Let’s remain determined to reject any label that devalues our worth and may we help our friends to do the same.
